How long does the development process take?
Typically two to three weeks for an informational web site, four to five weeks for a dynamic web site, and up to two months for an eCommerce web site. The timeframe for your project will depend largely on the dynamics of your company and your level of participation in the process. When the client is available to answer questions and give approvals on aspects of the project, we can usually finish the project quickly.
Do you provide sub-services on the side?
Not usually. Because our services are integrated into an efficient development process, it is usually not cost-effective to deliver these services separately. In some cases, purchasing an entire service package is less-expensive than paying for sub-services. For example: a significant part of our SEO services requires structuring the source code of the site's web pages efficiently. It is usually more cost-effective to redo a web site from scratch than it is to change a site's source code.
Will you ever charge me extra for pages, graphics, or design revisions?
No. However, Lucrative Systems may deny development of extra components if they do not abide by the CCI web model formulated for the project. To put in simple terms, we will not waste resources developing elements for your project that do not support the marketing mission. It is very rare that our developers turn down an idea, even after the project has already begun, and in some cases we will suggest an alternate idea. Most of our clients appreciate this process since it allows us to keep costs down.
Will you develop Flash or other multimedia components for my site?
Lucrative Systems maintains the capacity to develop Flash and other multimedia technologies, but we use such development selectively. We will not use a technology just to use it. We consider every web technology another tool in our toolbox to use when appropriate. Because of the many issues regarding Flash, Lucrative Systems has a stringent policy on when our developers can use Flash. For example, we will not develop navigation elements using Flash because search engines cannot read the text inside the links.
What if I disagree with an idea proposed by your developers?
Following our step-by-step approval process, we will never develop anything for your site that you disagree with. If our developers concieve an idea, the burden is on them to convince the client of its worthiness.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Our payment plans vary and depend on the client's particular situation. Our bottom line: we will accept a payment plan before we turn away a client. However, our services typically require a percentage for the retainer before the project begins.
Do you provide content management services?
Lucrative Systems clients should not have to pay for content management of their web site. We will provide you with an easy-to-use content management system or we will manage your content for free.
Is there a warranty on my web site?
Yes. Your web site is guaranteed to work properly for two years. However, there are stipulations in our contracts about the use of content management systems that might break the source code of your site. Lucrative Systems will ensure that you have the capacity to manage the content on your web site.
If I need minor modifications on my site after it goes live, how much will it cost?
In most cases, free. If the modifications are minor and our developers agree with them, we will likely do it for free. Major modifications are taken on a case-by-case basis and fees will vary.
How many developers will be working on my site?
The number of developers assigned to your project will depend on the scope of the project. However, there will likely only be one or two developers that you will be in contact with, the project manager or the lead developer.
Do you offer web hosting?
Lucrative Systems currently does not offer web hosting. However, our developers will assist you in retaining an affordable web host. Most web hosting costs are between $10 and $30 monthly.
How long does your search engine optimization service last?
Google has a page rank on a scale of 0 - 10 in which it ranks every web page in its index. This ranking is not the same as search engine rankings, and is separate of any keyword rankings. There are many factors which contribute to your web site's page rank, including the length of time it has been in Google's index. Our SEO servics continue until your home page recieves a Google page rank of three, which usually takes at leats one year of efforts.
Do you offer search engine marketing services?
Lucrative Systems does not currently offer SEM services. We have found that proper search engine optimization efforts typically meets the needs of most small businesses. If after these services you still feel you are not recieving your company's potential market share, Lucrative Systems will consult you on SEM.
Do I obtain the copyrights to my web site?
Lucrative Systems only retains copyrights for material we purchased from a third-party, such as stock images and multimedia. Graphics and web page designs constructed by Lucrative Systems developers will be ultimately owned by the client after the service is paid for.
